WORKERS from a drugs company site in Teesdale have raised £10,000 for six local charities.
More than 180 staff from GlaxoSmithKline took part in two-mile and four-mile runs to raise money for the Disabled Youngsters Scheme, the Friends of Cotherstone School, the Macmillan Nurses, Barnard Castle Guides and the children's wards at Darlington Memorial Hospital and Bishop Auckland General Hospital.
A spokesman for the company said: "Staff really made a massive effort and there were also runners from other GlaxoSmithKline sites."
