Newlyweds Harold and Dorothy Britton had more than stars in their eyes when they tied the knot.
The retired couple could gaze at the entire solar system as they exchanged vows at the Castle Eden Planetarium, Thorpe Thewles, near Stockton.
The pair, from Stockton, were the first to choose the setting as a wedding venue since it opened earlier this year.
Mr Britton said: "We just fell in love with the place. It's certainly very different."
The couple, who each have a son from a previous marriage, said "I do" in front of about 30 guests before enjoying a 15-minute presentation which showed the positions of their star signs in the night sky.
The 72-seater planetarium, a joint project between Cleveland and Darlington Astronomical Society and Stockton Council, has a projector which is linked to a nearby observatory and shines images from the sky on to a seven metre dome.
After the ceremony at the weekend, there was a reception at the Blackwell Grange Hotel, Darlington.
