Rotary concert: Richmond Rotary Club is staging a concert for senior citizens at the Zetland Christian community centre next Wednesday at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Finkle Street and West End post offices in the town and the Spar shop in Gilling Road.

Big event: The Skipton Building Society in Northallerton raised £79 for Macmillan cancer relief by serving coffee during the recent World's Biggest Coffee Morning event. A children's colouring contest was won by Keely McKenzie of Brompton School.

Fun night: A fundraising night with singer Kirsty Allan and comedian Sandy Gilroy is being held at the Comrades' club, Newbiggin, on Saturday, from 8pm-midnight. Entry costs £1 with proceeds going to Richmond House.
