A WOMAN in her forties was grabbed from her blue Toyota Corolla, on Park Avenue, Concord, in Washington, just before 7pm on Monday, by two people wearing masks.
They escaped in the vehicle, containing money and personal belongings. It was found abandoned and burned out several hours later in the Eighton Banks area of Gateshead. Witnesses are asked to contact the police on 0191-454 7555.

CHARITY SALE: A sale of bric-a-bric will be held on Saturday between 10am and noon in Elvet Methodist Church, Old Elvet, Durham, to raise money for the St Cuthbert's Hospice minibus appeal.
CITY WALK: A three-mile walk through Durham, called Geology in the City, will be led by geographer and geologist Maurice Holliday on Friday at 10.30am starting at the gates to Durham Castle, Palace Green. The walk costs £2 or £1 for concessions.
FAIR DATE: An autumn fair will be held by Newton Hall Senior Citizens Club on Saturday, October 26 at 2pm in All Saints Church Hall, Carr House Drive, Newton Hall, Durham. The club meets in the hall on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6.30pm.
ROCK NIGHT: The Source, who play the best Brit Pop from The Jam to Oasis, will be performing in the O'Neill's Irish bar in Claypath, Durham, tomorrow starting at about 9pm. Admission is free.
