Silksworth CC A had another good victory, this time against Boldon CA A. David Robson took maximum sets with three singles and also the doubles with Chris Blake who also won two of the three singles, George Watson completed the scoring for Silksworth CC W in taking one of the singles thus ensuring a 7-3 victory, David Bissett was the pick of Boldon CA in winning two of his three singles. A strong Seaburn Dene side beat Silksworth CC B 8-2 with Andrew Wilkinson and Michael Marsden each winning their respective singles and also taking the doubles.
Silksworth CC B were more fortunate in their other match with a 7 -3 victory over St Gabriel' s A with Bernie Morris and Kevin Wilson each taking their maximum three sets plus the doubles. St Gabriel' s A are having a difficult start to their season in again going down 3-7 this time against West CA A. Rod Roberts and Jimmy Scope each won their respective three singles plus the doubles to ensure the maximum four league points. Another team who have made a poor start is Southern Stewart and Walker going down 1-9 against Silksworth CC C.

In Division Two Redby CA A reversed their 9-1 defeat against West CA B with a 9 - 1 victory over Boldon CA B with both Alan Girdwood and Howard Forster each winning their three singles and a further two from David Nixon who also won the doubles with Ian Wilson. St Gabriel's B have started their season with two difficult fixtures and have taken league points from both matches. This week they managed a 5-5 draw against West CA 'B'.

Division Two: Redby CA A 9, Boldon CA B 1; St Gabriel's B 5, West CA B 5
In Division Three there has been a slow start up to now with the results for Division Three. St John TTC D and E finished level with five sets each, with Richard Waine taking all three sets plus one each for Joseph Collins and Jennifer Dixon for the E team. Michael Hampshire and Ian Bailey each won two sets in their singles plus the doubles to complete the share of the league points for the D team.

Division Three: St John TTC D 5, St John TTC E 5
For those players' who compete as an individual in National ETTA events, this is the start of a very heavy programme of fixtures throughout England, whilst equally those who compete in team events either in British League, League Cups, or representing their own county there is an impressive fixture list for the many players who are involved.
