Tow Law Area League: Tow Law New Market B moved seven points clear at the top of the table after they only dropped two points to the visiting Tow Law Dan's Castle.
The visitors points both came in the singles, where Ian Johnson and Rachel Heppell won. The Market's singles points came from Margaret Goodwin, Gavin Tennant, Tom Hauxwell and Phil Spencer with the three doubles being added.
Sunniside Comedian were able to move up to share second place with Tow Law Cattle Mart after they won by the odd point at Tow Law Rose and Crown. The singles were shared when Dorothy Mowbray, Sandra Snowdon and Tony English won for the home side and Dave Ferguson, John Smythe and Ray Johnson replied for the Comedian, who clinched their victory by taking the first two doubles.
Tow Law Station and Newhouse Club are just one point behind the Comedian and the Mart, whilst Esh Stag's Head are only ten points adrift of the leaders but have two matches in hand.

Willington League
League leaders, Sunnybrow Brown Trout started in good form against the visiting Willington Lion and Unicorn when they went two up with singles wins from Stephen Longhorne and Jimmy Hodgson. However from that point the visitors took over and won the remaining singles through Donald Young, Phil Blythe and Michael Pickering and went on to take both doubles through Alan Lee with Phil Blythe and Paul Allison with Donald Young.
This defeat pushed the Brown Trout down to third spot as the two Black Horse teams moved one point clear to share the top spot. The Prospect trail the Trout by four points.

Crook League
Crook Belle Vue are the only team with an unbeaten run in the Captain's Table. However they only lead by one point from the twelve teams in equal second place. These teams are the Olde Horse Shoe, Travellers Rest A and B, Spitfire Club, Mill House, Queen's Head A and B, Willington Market, Jelly's Bar A and B, the Australian and the Surtees. These teams are one ahead of the Golden Fleece B, King's head and Coach and Horses B. The White Swan, Coach and Horses A, Royal Sun and the Golden Fleece A share the bottom spot.
Crook Travellers Rest B lead the First Division by one point from Crook Belle Vue Club, who are two ahead of the Spitfire Club and the Coach and Horses A. Crook Queen's Head A lead the Second Division by one point from Crook Surtees, who lead Crook Coach and Horses B by one point.
Tow Law & District League
Lanchester King's Head slipped to their second whitewash defeat of the season when they visited Tow Law Rose and Crown in a match, which changed the top of the table. The Rose and Crown moved five points clear with Tow Law North Point five points behind, whilst the King's Head come in at third spot, three points adrift of the Point but with a match in hand.
The Rose and Crown's whitewash success came with victories from Derek Mowbray, Lee Mowbray, Anthony Ward, Gavin Hammell and Chris Bowes. Tow Law North Point's Championship chances dipped after they only took one point from their visit to Esh Football Club. The footballers had wins from Donald Bellamy, Chris Neil, Alan Brown and Ken Brown, whilst Alan Henderson was the only scorer for the visitors.

Willington & District League
Hunwick Quarry Burn made a good start to the new season when they visited Willington Cottles A and took the first two points through Jimmy Lee and Kevin Dufton. However the home side came back to draw level with wins from Brett Fleming and Paul Trow and then went to victory when Peter Fleming beat Simon Brown in the decider. Willington Lion and Unicorn were another team to edge through to victory in the decider when they beat the visiting Sunnybrow Brown Trout. Paul Williams put the home side ahead but then Les Welsh and Rita Welsh won for the Trout. Joe Bolam levelled the match and the Unicorn went to victory when Dave Clark beat Carol Hawkins in the decider.
