AN information technology taster event for disabled people is being held at a Newton Aycliffe care centre.
The Learndirect course will teach computer skills or extend knowledge in new areas of information technology.
There is also the opportunity to use the facilities in the information technology training room to access the Internet, use email or practise existing skills.
The event will be held at the Pioneering Care Centre, Cobbler's Hall, on Tuesday, November 5, when computer access will be provided to as wide a range of people as possible.
The facilities are accessible to everyone and the Pioneering Care Partnership will provide equipment and software to meet the needs of individuals.
The day will be split into two sessions, one in the morning at 9.30am, and another at 12.30pm, so learners can choose the session most convenient. A free buffet lunch will be provided between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
To reserve a place or for further details, contact (01325) 321234, or Minicom (01325) 313133.
