STAFF at a Redcar opticians have made a spectacle of themselves to help blind people in developing countries.
The workers from Specsavers dressed up as St Trinian's girls to raise cash for the World Sight Day Appeal.
The shop hopes to donate hundreds of pounds to the Sight Savers International charity which provides surgery for blind people in the developing countries.
Store director Julie Jones said: "Eye care is a basic human right and, by taking part in Make a Spectacle of Yourself Week, we will endeavour to make people aware affordable eye care should be available to all.''
Each Specsavers store has been challenged to raise £100 which ought to enable the company to pay for treatment of more than 2,500 people with cataracts.
