Model hopeful Kayleigh-Anne Pattison had her sights set on the catwalks of Paris and Milan last night - despite suffering a shock setback.
The 16-year-old North-East girl has been one of the shining stars of reality television show Model Behaviour, which has set out to find the next big thing in the fashion world.
Kayleigh-Anne, of Darlington, was revealed as one of the last ten up-and-coming catwalk queens in the Channel Four show yesterday.
But viewers will see her leave the programme tonight - when judges tell her that her age could count against her in the final stages.
The ten finalists are whittled down to eight hopefuls, all of whom move into a penthouse flat in London to be groomed for success.
But Kayleigh-Anne is not among the chosen few and is left to contemplate the next move in an already blossoming career. The show's makers felt that life in the capital may have been demanding for a 16-year-old.
"It was quite a big disappointment, but I have got over it pretty quickly," she told The Northern Echo.
"We will be seeing agencies in London because this is totally what I am aiming to do."
Kayleigh-Anne's mother, Yvonne Bennett, is adamant her daughter will make it to the big-time eventually.
"People see her and always ask if she's ever thought of modelling because she has that classic look," she said.
"This is only the beginning and getting down to the last ten from 11,000 is the best possible start for a modelling career."
The region will be represented in tonight's show by 19-year-old Verity Williams, of Durham; Camilla Priest, 19, of Sunderland, and basketball fanatic Kit Proudfoot, of Bellingham, Northumberland.
