YOUNGSTERS in Tow Law are working with professional dancers and musicians to produce a lively show in the village this weekend.
Children have teamed up the Jiving Lindy Hoppers for a series of workshops teaching them how to swing their hips in the style of previous generations.
On Saturday, a group of the young dancers will present Oop Pop A Dah, a journey from the Depression to the end of the Second World War. The show will take the audience through a pastiche of now classic dances, including swing, jive, lindy hop and tap, along with background trivia and unforgettable melodies.
Tickets for the show, which takes place at Tow Law Community Centre tomorrow, at 7.30pm, cost £4 or £2.50 from Ann's Fruit Shop, the community centre or Jenny Flynn on (01388) 730525.
