POLICE have arrested two suspected drug dealers during dawn raids.
Officers swooped on addresses in the Walker area of Newcastle on Thursday. A spokesman said they recovered four kilos of cannabis resin with a street value of £10,000, and an ounce of amphetamine sulphate with a street value of £2,500.
One of the men arrested was named as Henry Perry, 57, of St Andrew's Road, Walker. Mr Perry is due to appear before Newcastle Magistrates Court today, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
A 38-year-old man, who has not been named, was also arrested and released on police bail.
The arrests are the latest in a series of raids as part of Operation Bobbin, which so far has led to the recovery of more than £3m worth of drugs.
