PARENTS and children are enjoying new childcare opportunities at Bowes Pre-School.
The pre-school is now open for five morning sessions from Monday to Friday.
It opens from 9am to 1pm, with the children having the opportunity to have lunch on the premises. It caters for children from two years old.
The pre-school has been based in the new school hall of Bowes Hutchinson CE Aided School since last month.
The leader, Helen Needham, also started last month and numbers are well up on last year.
The curriculum includes opportunities to use the school's play area and grounds, and for the children to experience the award-winning Secret Garden.
Earlier this term, the children listened to storyteller Colin Bostock's tales from around the world.
They have also used digital photographic equipment, together with their computers, to illustrate the topic All About Me.
The pre-school plans to further improve facilities in the future, giving the children more opportunities for creative play.
Some places are still available. Contact Ms Needham on (01833) 628291 for details.
