FIREFIGHTERS revealed their fitness by scaling a 320m hill in just 15 minutes.
Not only that, but the lads from Grangetown and Redcar fire stations were carrying a 13.5m ladder as they scrambled up Roseberry Topping, near Great Ayton.
Last Saturday's stunt was organised by Ed Parrish, from Grangetown's Blue Watch, to raise cash for the Great North Air Ambulance.
Mr Parrish said: "In the short time it has been operating it has already saved lives. We want to make sure this crucial emergency service continues to benefit the community we serve."
Before the climb, a collection in Middlesbrough town centre raised £1,000. Along with sponsorship cash, the total amount raised came to about £1,500.
