TALENTED youngsters from across the county will take part in a fundraising concert this weekend.
About 50 dancers, singers, actors and musicians will come together for the Melting Pot Showcase, at Durham's Gala Theatre, on Sunday.
The event, sponsored by Belmont and Cheveley Park Spars, aims to give local youngsters the chance to show off their skills while raising money for the Rainbow Trust children's charity.
It will mix together solo and group acts and combine old favourites with specially commissioned music, ranging from soothing classics to upbeat jazz.
The concert has been organised by Framwellgate School sixth formers Rebecca Burns and Helen Wilson, both 18.
Ms Wilson said: "It's a massive variety show with everything from classical music to jazz, ballet to tap dancing, involving 13 to 18-year-olds from across County Durham.
"It was Rebecca's idea and she roped us all in. It's been very stressful, but worth it."
Tickets, priced at £7.50 or £5 for concessions, are available from the box office on 0191-332 4041.
