POLICE officers old and new are being summoned to Loftus Police Station one last time.
The main part of the 150-year-old station is to be converted into affordable housing and will close in early November.
Now police officers, including any retired policemen who served at the station, are to line up for a final photocall before the existing station is finally closed.
The majority of remaining police officers will work from the end house at the current station when it is taken over by Endeavour Housing Association.
John Kelly, district commander, said that the current building was not being used to full capacity and it would be more economical to use only a small part of it.
He said: "This will not affect policing of the Loftus area. There will still be a local police station to report crime to and speak to beat officers on matters concerning the community."
Any retired officers who served at the station and wish to attend the photocall are asked to come along at 2.30pm on Friday, October 18.
