MECCANO enthusiasts descended on Darlington at the weekend for a major exhibition.
The workings of the famous metal construction system were displayed at the town's railway centre and museum.
Experts from the National Meccano Society showed off working models and explained the history of the popular toy.
John Wilkes, of the museum, said: "They explained the changes it has gone through over the years and brought some static working models for display."
