PETER KING, for many years one of the best-known figures at Scarborough railway station, has died at the age of 74.
His family plan to scatter his ashes on the railway track at the station where he worked for 25 years.
He had been involved in the railway industry for 43 years before his retirement and spent a quarter of a century at Scarborough as station inspector.
