CIVIC dignitaries and leading members of the community are being offered an insight into Army life tomorrow.
The Army Presentation Team is touring the region and will be visiting Ripon, North Yorkshire, to explain why the forces are vital, what the Army's commitments include, and how it trains to meet them.
There will be time for questions at the end of a fast-moving multi-media address in a city which is home to 38 Engineer Regiment.
Spokesman Major Ed Frost said: "The Army Presentation Team aims to demonstrate the need for effective, flexible and balanced armed forces in today's uncertain world.
"We want to ensure people in Ripon leave our presentation with a greater appreciation of the role the Army plays in defending the UK's interests worldwide."
