A PRIMARY school in Hartlepool has received top marks following a visit from Government inspectors.
St Teresa's RC Primary School was visited in July by Ofsted as part of their national programme of school inspections.
The report said: "This is a highly effective school that provides its pupils with a very good, broad and balanced education.
"The school strives, continually, to be better in all aspects and it is succeeding admirably. There are no major recommendations for action. This is a very good school in every way.
"Since the last inspection, standards have been consistently well above average in mathematics, English and science."
Headteacher Eileen Cahir said: "I am very pleased that the dedication of all staff, pupils and governors together with the unstinting support of parents has been recognised."
