Stokesley narrowed the lead at the top of the table hitting five past Annfield Plain. The home side dominated the first half and went in at the break three goals to the good with strikes from Warren Gregson, Richard Hore and Jonathan Smith. Complacency after the break allowed Plain to grab a goal on 70 minutes, thanks to a disputed Philip Raisbeck penalty.
The goal shook the home team into action and goals from Jonathan Newton and a second for Hore saw the match end 5-1.
New Marske went to within a point of their opponents Wolviston with a convincing 4-1 win.
Craig Owens put New Marske ahead early on but it took until the 67th minute for the visitors to extend their lead when Adam Henry deftly chipped the keeper. Craig Mendum added a third before Guy Whatmore grabbed a consolation for Wolviston in injury time. There was still time, however, for substitute Jim Kestenton to grab a fourth for New Marske in the eighth minute of injury time.
Redcar Town suffered their fifth defeat of the season going down 3-2 at Harton and Westoe.
David Hopper gave the home side the league but Redcar hit back twice before half time. However, two early strikes in the second half from Lee Compton and Jason Jones saw the home side take all three points.
Craig Rolfe hit another two goals to see Boldon CA go to within a point of league leaders Birtley Town, whose match with Whitehaven was postponed. All the goals came in an eventful first half, with Mark Keenan hitting Darlington RA's only goal.
Cleadon climbed two places in the league after only their second victory of the campaign by defeating Barnard Castle 2-0 with two goals from Andrew Quinn.
Stanley United turned around their match at Ryhope in the second period. Having gone in at the break trailing to an Alan Surtees goal, Stanley hit back with strikes from Aaron Scott and two from John Holmes.
Ferryhill were again indebted to goalkeeper Stuart Williams for keeping the score down to a 1-0 defeat against visitors North Shields. Dominic Graham grabbed the only goal of the match in the first half.
Jarrow remain rooted to the bottom of the table after suffering a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Windscale. Kevin Law hit a hat-trick and Gary Hudson grabbed a brace in a one sided match
