ENJOYING a pint while surfing the Internet will soon become reality at a village pub.
Owners have transformed an old store room to create an Internet pop-in shop for regulars and villagers.
Six computers have been installed in the online room at the Crown Inn, Grewelthorpe, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, bringing a window on the worldwide web to the village.
Shortly, customers will be surfing the Internet in one room and ordering their pints or evening meals in the next room.
The project has been organised by Ripon College as part of its strategy to help communities increase learning skills on their doorstep.
