business-minded young people aged 15 to 19 from Darlington and Teesside took part in an enterprise master class.
More than 250 took part in the day, which enables them to take part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme which develops their business skills and set up and run their own company over the course of the academic year.
A series of business workshops were scheduled by Young Enterprise and were delivered by local business representatives and advisors throughout the day.
Young Enterprise Development Manager, Tarryn Lloyd-Payne said: "This master class is invaluable to any youngsters considering becoming business owners in the future.
"The workshops give them the opportunity to draw on the experience and knowledge of local business people and advisors."
Pupils from Carmel and Branksome Schools in Darlington were represented, as well as Teesside schools including Egglescliffe, Teesside High, Conyers, Yarm, Thornaby School, St Hild's, Manor College, High Tunstall and Middlesbrough College.
