SOME of the region's finest performing talent will be on display at the University of Sunderland.
The university's Concerts on Campus season begins with The Bear, a short opera by William Walton, in the Bede Theatre, Ryhope Road, on Monday, at 7.30pm. It is adapted from the one act farce by Russian playwright Chekov and is billed as an accessible introduction to opera.
The production is by new company Naked Opera, which was formed by Sunderland-born opera singer Alison Barton.
Tickets are £7, or £5 for concessions and £3 for students. For details, call Ingrid Fairfax on 0191-515 3593
