A GROUP of courageous women took to the catwalk last night in support of a cancer charity.
The six North-East women, who are all breast cancer survivors, were part of The Northern Echo Fashion Show, which was organised to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
The women wore fashions from Marks & Spencer, Darlington, and The Dressing Room, in Yarm, at the annual event, which was held at Tall Trees, Yarm.
They were joined on stage by professional models, who showed off autumn and winter designs by some of the biggest names in North-East fashion.
Event manager Linda Paramor said: "It was a record-breaking night. We sold a huge number of tickets.
"We also had a lot of big names at the event. It was fantastic."
Others who showcased collections included Dusty's Daughter and Binns House of Fraser.
The event, sponsored by Reg Vardy Jaguar, also had demonstrations from hairdressing firms, Saks and Toni & Guy.
Also supporting the show were Nail Bar One, Chestnut, Barkers of Northallerton, Manhattan and Image. Binns Clarins and Clinque both had stands.
Readers were offered a free gift with every purchase, and all purchases were entered into a free draw to win a fragrance hamper worth £175.
Guests were also given the chance to win £400 of designer clothes from The House, of Yarm, thanks to the show sponsors
