A PROJECTIONIST, who worked at the former Pavilion Cinema in Ferryhill, is celebrating 60 years of married life.
Stanley and Ida Davidson, of Ellerton Close, Darlington enjoyed a party with family and friends to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
Mr Davidson, 81, and Mrs Davidson, 79, met while serving with the RAF during the war and they then moved together to Ferryhill. Mr Davidson worked at the cinema until it closed and then worked as a storeman in different firms.
The couple have three children, ten grandchildren and 21 grandchildren and were joined by some of them at the celebration earlier this week.
Sadly, Mrs Davidson was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and has been cared for by her husband and a team of nurses.
In his spare time Mr Davidson enjoys photography and computers.
