CIU League: Crook Belle Vue won the Team Knock Out Cup after they beat Cockton Hill in the Final played at the Prospect Club by eight points to five with two unplayed.
The surprising points for the Crook team came in the pool, where they only dropped one of the five matches against Cockton Hill, who had won the league in that section. Trevor race took the only point for the Hill, whilst Doug McCarthy, Pip Samson, Paul Knighton and Gordon Dodds won for Crook.
Cockton Hill took three points at dominoes when they had wins from Alan Race, Alan Lithgoe and Robert Douthwaite, whilst Gordon Dodds took Crook's lone point.
In the darts matches Crook only dropped one point when Ray Scott won for the Hill, whilst Doug McCarthy, Jeff Sneath and Paul Knighton won to take them to victory.
Bishop Auckland CIU Winter League
The new season got underway with Eldon Lane making an excellent start with an overall points win of 12 - 8, with the team darts still to play, against the visiting Cockton Hill. The surprise part of this victory was the pool win for the Lane, who only dropped one point when David Race won for Cockton Hill. The home winners were Trevor Race, Paul Fitt and Stephen Wright.
In the other match, West Auckland had an overall victory by 12 points to 9 on their visit to Newton Aycliffe Horndale.

Willington Ladies League
Willington Club A moved to the top of the darts section after they beat their hosts at Willington Cottles by the odd point. However this only moved them one point ahead of Willington Club B, who have two matches in hand. Hunwick Joiners Arms trail the Club B by two points.
In the dominoes section, Hunwick Joiners Arms went five points clear with Willington Cottles in second place, two points ahead of Willington Burn and Willington Club A.
