Spennymoor United are now looking forward to a FA Cup fourth qualifying round trip to Conference side Northwich after a dramatic replay win over Droylsden on Tuesday night.
The hero was Anthony Lee, who snatched a dramatic winner in the second minute of stoppage time to give Moors a 3-2 win, after they trailed 2-1 with 12 minutes left.
Manager Tony Lee said: "We did well to battle back, because we were sulking a little bit at 2-1.
"We were always dangerous at free kicks, but if we wanted the ball to drop to somebody with a good left foot, then it had to be our Anthony."
The match was watched by a crowd of 336, Moors' biggest for some time, and brought back memories of their previous FA Cup battles and promotion campaigns.
But before the Northwich game, Moors face Alfreton in a league game on Saturday, and they are at home to Durham City in the Durham Challenge Cup on Tuesday.
Bishop Auckland are off the bottom of the table after they beat Kendal 2-0 at Dean Street on Wednesday night.
It was Bishops' best performance at Dean Street this season by some considerable distance.
They took the lead after 21 minutes with an header by Andrew Shingleton, and after they hit the woodwork twice, Chris Hughes pounced on the rebound after Wayne Edgcumbe's effort hit the post.
Manage Brian Honour gave a debut to Kevin Devine from Horden, in a team which showed plenty of pace and invention.
Meanwhile, Spennymoor and Bishop Auckland could gain some ground without setting foot on the pitch.
Bamber Bridge have hit severe financial problems, and the UniBond League has demanded a guarantee that they will fulfil their fixtures by the end of this month.
The 1996 champions have been hit by a £25,000 tax bill, and they have lost lucrative sponsorship deals.
Bridge are currently in seventh place, and if they are forced to quit the league, then their record will be expunged.
Bishop have announced the renewal of their popular Kids For A Quid scheme which allows all Under-14s entry to home games for only a pound. The scheme is likely to run throughout the remainder of the season.
Meanwhile, the latest edition of Two Blues News, the free newsletter of Bishop Auckland FC Independent Supporters' Club, is also offering 20 free kids tickets as prizes in issue Number 4.
The newsletter can be picked up at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, Bakers Newsagents (in Princes Street), Etheringtons Newsagents (Cockton Hill Road), Bishop Auckland Swimming Baths (Woodhouse Lane), News Force (St Helens), SS Ghuman General Dealers (St Helens), General Dealers (Tindale Crescent).
Whitby Town reached their highest ever placing in the league when they thrashed Frickley 7-1 away from home last Saturday, and it was also their biggest ever win since joining the league five years ago.
