ROYAL Oaks Sparkling Confetti, owned by Jill Robinson of Norton, was crowned champion miniature at the Horse of the Year show last week.
The yearling pinto filly was imported from Florida as a foal and has had a very successful start to her showing career, qualifying for HOYS at the Northern Horse Show.
She was also practically unbeaten in coloured youngstock classes, including winning the pinto class at the European Miniature Horse Championships in Belgium last month.
Another winner from the same stable, Cascades Magic Charm, a three-year-old colt from the Newclose Farm miniatures, was second in the two and three years section at HOYS.
Magic Charm, also an American import, has won championships this year at the Royal Lancashire and the Miniature Equine Show in Hertfordshire.
His first foal, NCF As If By Magic, was placed second in the weaning class at the European Championships.
Also finishing the year on a high is Dell Teras Dellas Joe Berry, whose many successes include the European Senior Stallion Champion title and European Champion single pleasure driving horse.
