ROCK legend Robert Plant raised a Whole Lotta Cash to help a young woman paralysed in a car crash.
The former Led Zeppelin star was moved by the plight of Lianne Crowe, whose friends and family are trying to raise money to send her to America for pioneering treatment.
So the 1970s icon, whose hits with the supergroup include Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love, auctioned tickets to his solo performance at Newcastle City Hall.
Dozens of bids were made before the tickets, which include a private meeting with Robert, were snapped up by two American fans, who are crossing the Atlantic for Monday night's concert.
Plant's generous offer means Lianne, 23, of Hexham, Northumberland, is £3,000 closer to her dream.
