A 48-YEAR-OLD man suffered serious head injuries after being involved in an accident with a car in Stockton on Friday night.
The incident happened at 7.55pm in Yarm Lane, near to the Kwik-Fit garage. The man, who is from the Haverton Hill area, was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, but later transferred to Middlesbrough General Hospital. The 29-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured. Any witnesses are asked to contact police on (01642) 326326.
CHARITY EXHIBITION: Hart-lepool Art Club is holding a charity exhibition in the town's Middleton Grange Shopping Centre from Monday, November 11, to Saturday, November 16. The charity the club is supporting this year is the Children's Service for the Visually Impaired. It is also holding its 55th annual exhibition in Hartlepool Art Gallery, Church Square, from Saturday, November 16, to Sunday, January 5. Alongside the exhibition will be a tribute to Tom McAndrew, a founder member of the club, who died earlier this year. Entry to both exhibitions will be free.
LINE DANCING: Charities supported by the Mayor of Loftus, Councillor Gordon Davis, and his Redcar and Cleveland counterpart, Councillor Eric Jackson, will benefit from a line dance party night, featuring Andy Brown, at the Loftus West Road Social Club next Monday, at 7.30pm. Tickets costing £3, including supper, are available from Loftus Library, Loftus Town Council and Loftus West Road Social Club.

CRAFT FAIR: A craft fair will be held at Riverdale Primary School, Hambleton Avenue, Redcar, on Wednesday, October 30, at 6.30pm. Admission is free and there will be craft stalls, refreshments and a raffle.
