A SIX-WEEK programme for young people focusing on drug awareness and anti-social behaviour is to start in Darlington.
The scheme will be based at the POD in North Park, which opened earlier this year.
POD is a mobile unit that provides a safe environment for young people to find help and advice on a wide range of issues.
The new programme, aimed at any young person, is designed to give youngsters information while they enjoy themselves with painting projects, board games, quizzes and debates.
It will also include educational visits and presentations from services including drugs outreach workers, community wardens and youth workers.
The POD was used successfully during the summer to help tackle youth crime and anti-social behaviour.
There are plans to move the facility around the town to offer a place to meet for young people who might be at risk of offending.
