A SHOP was badly damaged by fire at about 7am yesterday in Milton Street, Saltburn.
Four engines attended the fire but 50 per cent of the basement was damaged and other parts of the building suffered significant smoke damage.
SCHOOL REUNION: To mark the 40th anniversary of Billingham Campus School, a reunion will be held at The Swan, Wolviston Road, Billingham, on Saturday, November 9, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and include a buffet and disco. Tickets are available from Lynn Ward on (01642) 562662.
JOIN US: Getaway Wheelers, a cycling club for people with disabilities, will hold a "try it out" day on Saturday at the Summerhill Visitors Centre, Catcote Road, Hartlepool, from noon to 2pm. WOLDS INSIGHT: Historian Bob Woodhouse will act as a guide for students on a course called Discovering the Yorkshire Wolds. The course has already started at Egglescliffe School, Eaglescliffe, on Thursday evenings, from 7pm to 9pm, but there are six weeks left to run and places are still available.
