A 26-YEAR-old drug addict who mugged a teenager for his mobile phone, was jailed for three years yesterday.
Craig Embleton, of Netherfields, Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty to robbery when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court.
Prosecuting, Michael O'Neill told the court how, on July 28, the 16-year-old victim was making his way to Middlesbrough's railway station when he was set upon by Embleton and another man.
The teenager tried to resist, but Embleton told him he had a knife in his pocket. The assailants ran off with the phone, but Embleton was recognised by two passing women.
Defending, Sean Grainger said that the attack had been an impulsive act by Embleton, who had been taking cocaine and heroin.
