POLICE have issued a detailed description of a man wanted for an indecent assault on a woman.
The 24-year-old victim was attacked near the Marks and Spencer store in Cumberland Street, Sunderland, early on Monday, May 6. Her assailant was described as 25, about 5ft 9in, of medium to large build, with dark hair, very short on the sides and slightly longer on top. He also had what police described as "a slight moustache". He was wearing a light blue, short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to ring 0191-454 7555, extension 66659.
ROAD DEATH: Police are appealing for information relating to a fatal road accident last week. John Hutchinson, 45, died after being struck by a car in Norton High Street, near Stockton, on Saturday. Mr Hutchinson, of Billingham Road, Norton, was taken to North Tees Hospital after he was involved in an accident with a Vauxhall Frontera at 5.55pm. Police want anyone who saw the incident to contact PC Pete Hammond on (01642) 301558.

CATHEDRAL CONCERT: The BBC Philharmonic will perform at Durham Cathedral for a radio broadcast.
