BANK staff are swapping their computers for spades and wheelbarrows to plant bulbs in Ferryhill Station.
A public footpath has been allocated funds through Barclays Sitesavers, a major national environmental regeneration programme funded by Barclays and managed by the charity Groundwork in partnership with BTCV and the Wildlife Trusts.
Residents and Barclays staff will be turning out in force on Thursday to help plant spring bulbs in the heart of their community.
Project manager Stephen Armstrong of Groundwork East Durham said: "Not only will this add colour but will celebrate the footpath improvements that are scheduled for the coming months."
