SIX building site managers in the North-East have won major awards.
The National House Building Council (NHBC) pride in the job awards have granted seal of excellence awards to several site managers from Teesside and North Yorkshire.
The winner of a regional award was Eric Rowe, of George Wimpey North East, for his site at Regency Park, Guisborough, Cleveland.
He will go through to the grand final in London next January.
Twenty-seven site managers from all over the North have won seals of excellence in the second round of the awards, which aim to encourage quality in building new homes.
Others to be recognised were Brian White, of Wimpey, for Broom Hill, Ingleby Barwick, Teesside, and Bill Shaw, of Mack and Lawler builders, for The Poplars development in Selby.
Ian Scarth and Ken Willis, both of Wimpey, won the award for developments in Norton and Yarm Road, Stockton-on-Tees, while John Foottit, of Bellway North- East, gained his for the Garth development in Eaglescliffe, Teesside.
