ONE of Durham's oldest and spookiest houses will be getting in the Halloween mood on Sunday.
Crook Hall, the city's medieval manor house and gardens, will be laying on ghostly activities for visitors who may get to see its resident ghost, The White Lady.
Owner Maggie Bell said: "There will be a variety of activities to scare and entertain visitors of all ages, ranging from stories about Crook Hall's ghosts, told by lantern light at the moat pool, to Halloween treasure hunts and a witches' cauldron lucky dip."
There will also be a fancy dress competition for adults and children and entrance to the haunted Jacobean Room.
Visitors are advised to dress warmly and to take a torch or a pumpkin.
The event will be held from 3pm to dusk. Last entry is at 4.15pm.
Admission costs £3.80 for adults, concessions £3 and £9.80 for a family ticket.
