A STORE is holding a two-day recruitment event offering jobs for up to 50 people.
Marks and Spencer at the MetroCentre has teamed up with the centre's in-house recruitment agency, metrojobs, to organise the event tomorrow and on Friday, from 10am to 3pm.
Store and metrojobs staff will be on hand at a special recruitment desk, adjacent to Marks and Spencer's fresh flower display, offering up to 50 jobs as night shift stock advisers working a range of shifts.
Employees will earn an average of £6.17 an hour, and can start immediately.
Most jobs will last until January, but it is likely that some will become permanent.
In addition to the night shift vacancies, there are other openings at the store for sales and caf assistants.
Nigel Mills, regional human resources manager for Marks and Spencer, said: "Christmas is a very exciting time, as well as one of the busiest for Marks and Spencer.
"We are delighted to be able to offer these job opportunities to people along with an attractive package of other benefits, including a generous staff discount as well as good terms and conditions of employment."
Patricia Dunn, metrojobs manager, said: "We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Marks and Spencer to help fill these Christmas vacancies.
Anyone who is interested in the jobs on offer should go along to find out more or call the recruitment line on 0191-451 4144, or jobseeker direct on 0845 6060 234
