Police have arrested four men in connection with a shooting on Teesside last month.
Two masked men burst into a house in Princes Square, Thornaby, on September 28, and blasted a 21-year-old man in the leg. He underwent surgery on the blast wound and has since been released and is now thought to be making a good recovery.
Around 40 officers, some of them armed, yesterday took part in a co-ordinated operation and hit houses across Teesside.
The arrested men, two from Thornaby aged 33 and 22, a 30-year-old from Middlesbrough and a 31-year-old from Stockton were all being held at police stations in Middlesbrough and Stockton yesterday.
Officers also searched the four targeted houses for evidence as the men were being questioned.
