The squad took part in the Northumberland and Durham Ladies championships at Sunderland and in their semi-final they played Sunderland and cruised to a 15-1 victory which allowed them to play some of their promising youngsters.
Kasha Rogers Smith, Fay Callan both only ten-years-old and 12-year-olds Iona Stonehouse and Naomi Kellett who all performed well. In the final they played Catterick Cobras who had defeated Durham convincingly in the other semi-final.
Despite missing GP junior Charlotte Nichols, Swedish international Helena Randquist and Irish captain Charlene Brown, they crushed Catterick 10-0 in a game which was only just over half the length of a normal game to firmly extinguish one bite of the Cobras.
Great Britain players Coral Mohan, Angela Wiinstanley Smith and Samantha Mitchell scored some great goals with their speed of movement and great awareness. Tara Smith Go senior goalkeeper had very little to do in goal due to the excellent defensive skills of Chloe Willcox, Claire Longley and Sarah Scott.
