Willington: The Under-10s had two 1-0 victories in the Russell Foster short-sided leagues, beating Barnes Park Bees and Durham County Colts with Alex Hird scoring the vital goal in both games.
The Willington Under-16s won 4-3 away to Sunderland Red House in the 11-a-side leagues. David Jackson (2), Daniel Lee and Leon Howe got the goals for Willington, with Craig O'Brien and Michael Abson sharing the man of the match award.
Willington Under-14s lost 5-1 away to Sunderland Redby after taking the lead through Lewis Hope. Goalkeeper Chris Mariott was Willington's man of the match.
Auckland and District EBAC Youth League
The second round of the South West Durham Presidents Cup saw some big scores, Bishop Auckland Under-18s topping the list with an 11-1 victory away to Auckland and District EBAC Youth League rivals Meadowfield.
Gary Whittaker netted five goals for Bishops, the others coming from Lee Atkinson, Paul Dunn (2) and Andrew Fairley (2) and Philip Piper (og) Andrew Gray got Meadowfield's consolation.
Barnard Castle beat visitors Chilton YC 7-1. Andrew Smith and John Close gave the home side a 2-0 half time lead, Andrew Rodriguez Vanilla making it 3-0 with a penalty early in the second half. Chilton then pulled on back before Smith got two more for his hat trick, the second a penalty.
Vanilla then scored his second goal, this time in open play, before Andrew Bellow completed the proceedings with the goal of the game, running through to net a spectacular volley from a Stephen Richards cross.
Lee Thompson got a hat trick for Coundon & Leeholme in their 6-3 success away to Newton Aycliffe. Sean Tarling, Daniel Wales and Carl Thompson were the other Coundon scorers, Mark Hindson, Simon Quinn and Steve Longstaff getting the goals for Aycliffe.
Lewis Robinson got both goals for Spennymoor Legion, 2-1 winners at home to Willington in the same competition. Shaun Brown netted for the visitors.
Catterick Juniors
Catterick had two great victories over Richmond. Catterick came from behind in the first game with Aaron Mornington bringing them level before Jak Jex added two goals before Joe Inglis completed the 4-2 result. Man of the match was keeper Ashley Harding.
The second game ended 5-2 with Jak Jex again netting a brace other scorers were Leon Wright, Lewis Hamilton and a scintillating free kick from Adam completing the scoring. Man of the match was Leon Wright.
Richmond Town
Again Richmond had another successful weekend. The Under-15s drew away to No. 1 amalgamated Juniors 5-5.
The Under-14s continued with their winning streak by winning 3-1 at home to Marton B. Scorers J Black, N Fisher and J McGuigan. The team have only lost one league match so far this season.
The Under-13s had an outstanding win away to Coulby Newham. The score was 7-0 and T Keegan scored a hat-trick with S Pritchard(2), T Borthwick and S Hawkes also scoring. B Tack played well in central defence and A Hillary had a good game in goal.
The Under-12s maintained winning ways also. They are undefeated so far this season and they maintained their run with a 3-1 win at Total Soccer Centre 3-1. The team made the game harder than it should have been but they showed character in their play with scorers being B Whiteside, C Shaw and D Cotterill. Man of the match was B Holmes.
The Under-10s played two games away to Catterick AWS and Team One lost 4-2 while Team Two lost 5-2
