Horndale proved that they are the tops at fives and threes for they recorded their second maximum to maintain a 100 per cent record on their visit to West Auckland.
The successful Horndale players were Chris Musgrave, David Hodgson, Jeff Bowran and Brian Hills. Despite this good win The West Auckland team edged through to an odd point overall victory.
Cockton Hill took their revenge on the pool table over the visiting Eldon Lane when they completed a whitewash. The Hill's players were Russell Place, Peter Race, John Denham and Colin Britton. This helped the Cockton Hill team to an overall three points victory.

Tow Law Coors Cup
The competition for overall scores from pool and dominoes will be played over two leagues of six teams each with the winners of each playing off for the Trophy. The format will be for six pool singles, six dominoes singles and three pool doubles.
League A will be made up of: Sunniside Comedian, Tow Law Dan's Castle A, Tow Law Rose and Crown, Tow Law Football Club, Tow Law North Point and Tow Law New Market A.
League B will be made up of: Lanchester King's Head, Esh Football Club, Tow Law New Market B, Hamilton Row Black Horse, Tow Law Dan's Castle B and Tow Law Cattle Mart.
The fixtures for the first week, to be played on November 6, are: Comedian v New Market A; Dan's Castle A v North Point; Rose & Crown v Tow Law Football Club; King's Head v Cattle Mart; Esh FC v Dan's Castle B and New Market B v Black Horse.
CIU League
The League staged the Thomas Bailey memorial Darts Tournament at the Victoria Club, where Tommy Ward and Robin Douthwaite of Cockton Hill took the title. In the Final they beat Paul Knighton and Keith Sanderson of Crook Belle Vue.
In the semi-finals Ward and Douthwaite beat Billy Steele and Ray Scott of Middlestone Moor, whilst Knighton and Sanderson beat Geoff Maddison and Dave Byrne of Crook Belle Vue.
Paul Knighton hit two maximums in the event, whilst Billy Percival of Newfield made the best check-out with a 136 finish. There were 180's from Chris Kitch of Cockton Hill, John Ward, Dave Byrne, Gordon Dodd and Doug McCarthy of Crook Belle Vue and Robin Douthwaite of Cockton Hill
