President's Putter

Five pound may not be a great reward for returning the best gross score in this nett competition but for Kevin Ward his score of 72 against a standard scratch of 73 meant that his handicap had now become scratch and is probably the first time a Bedale player had achieved this position in recent years and what a fitting way to finish his season.

With a total entry of 114 this penultimate major competition was played in excellent conditions.

Scores - Division One: 68 David Robinson (11), 69 Jim Shaw (11) 70 Stephen Black (10).

Division Two: 71 Peter Kirkbride (17), 72 Tim Pollard (16) and Dennis Powers (20) card countback required).

Division Three: 78 Colin Smart (28), and D Midgley (26), card countback required.

Congratulations to David Robinson who will receive his prize on Presentation Night which this year will be held in the club house on Saturday, November 30.
