Chester Garden Farm became the first team to top the half century of goals in the league this season after rattling up double figures against Stanley Masons Arms.
Paul Swinburn and Graham Cook led the way in the 10-3 win with hat-tricks. Alan Green chipped in with a double along with goals from Paul Atkinson and Andrew Robson while the Masons hit back with two from Brian Philips and a Paul Hutchinson strike.
Grange Villa WMC kept up their good form with a 5-1 win at home to Felling Mulberry. Barry Ward notched a pair along with Marc Ward, Ian Pinchen and Jon Haley while Gary Harkness scored the Mulberry's consolation.
Crown Inn are finding it tough at the minute, not helped by a 3-1 home defeat by Stanley RAFA. Stuart Hope scored for the Crown with David Watson, David Maughan and Mark Brown on target for the RAFA.
South Moor Sports kept up their good form with a 9-2 win over bottom side Low Fell Jolly Miller to move into fourth place and that after a dismal start to the season.
Chris Youll scored four times, Stephen Green helped himself to a couple and the others were netted by Carl Grey, Peter Blackburn and Anthony Sterling while Steven Crocker and Michael Jenkins bagged the Miller's two goals.
In the Durham County FA Sunday Cup, Pelton Fell enjoyed an excellent 4-0 win at Pennywell Youth Project.
However, Stanley Blue Boar ran out of luck with a 3-2 defeat at home to Whickham Bay Horse. The Boar's cause was not helped when they had a player sent off in the first half. They did take the lead through Mark Drake and Danny Hagan scored another only for the Boar to fall foul of a last minute winner.
