Division One: In week three, Grinkle Park got their season back on track when whitewashing the Redcar Lakes C 6-0.
Young Simon Page set the standard for his teammates after beating Paul Humphrey 61-26 and 93-14.
Brian Simpson followed this beating Keith Thompson 70-14 and 50-46. Dave Brown then made sure of the six points for the home side when beating Ted Foreman 62-25 and 59-34. This result has now pushed Grinkle Park into joint second spot along with the Redcar Lakes A team.
Redcar Workies A also chalked up a good 5-1 home win against Carlin How A, during which Scott Hardy, of Redcar Workies, compiled an outstanding 82 break the highest recorded to date this season.
Guisborough Cons. A jumped into top spot this week on 12 points when on their travels they demolished the Redcar Cons. B 5-1. New Marske's A team also notched up the same result when playing away to Redcar Lakes B.
Another good away result was recorded by Redcar Lakes A who beat the Unionist's A side 4-2. Paul Reeve of the Unionists Club compiled a 40 break during this match.
Saltburn Cons. A team could only manage a home draw against Marske Workies A but during this clash Paul Baggot, of the Saltburn Cons., compiled an excellent 60 break and Andrew Mudd, of Marske Workies, also chalked up a good 42 break.
In the final match of the week Guisborough TA were held to a 3-3 tie by the Redcar Cons. A team.
Division Two
The only recorded away win for week three was when Ennis Square's B team who beat Guisborough Cons. B 4-2. John Hale kicked off winning his first game against opponent T. Lloyd 54-26. Lloyd then returned the compliment levelling the match at one frame each after winning the second game 52-26.
Robert Cox then won both his games against Neil Grainger with scores of 62-47 and 58-6. Mark Stewart then pulled one back for Guisborough when beating Steve Sullivan 47-37, but it was Sullivan who eventually sealed the away win after beating Stewart in the final game by 55-31.
It is early doors in the League but the Redcar Lakes D team continue to dominate after they chalked up their second 6-0 whitewash this week against The Lodge. They now lead the second division by five points.
Lune Street's A team recorded an excellent 5-1 home win against the Redcar Workies B team. Ennis Square A also chalked up a good 4-2 home win against opponents Val's Priory.
The final two matches, Guisborough Quoit versus the Redcar Literary Institute and Marske Workies B versus the Redcar Unionist's B team both ended up as 3-3 ties.
