Archdeacon 0 v 2 Hole in the Wall
The Deacon's mini slump continued with this defeat which saw Hole in the Wall in control from the outset after Robbie Dodworth had opened the scoring in the fifth minute. Man of the match Andrew Wedgewood had several opportunities to score before he ended a dazzling individual run iwth a chip over the keeper to make it 2-0 after 20 minutes. Archdeacon came back into the game in the second half but Hole in the Wall's defence held firm and gave Wall their best result of the season.
DGSOB 4 v 8 Grey Horse
In a high scoring encounter Grey Horse were three up in 15 minutes cashing in on some poor goalkeeping by the unfortunate Andrew Merry. Old Boys rallied in the second half to score four times to Horse's five but the damage had already been done and when Old Boys ran out of steam Grey Horse secured victory with two late goals.
Scorers for Old Boys were Matthew Freitag (3) and Mark Sowerby. Kevin Stewart (3), Darren Tate (2), Phil Hunter, Gary Donald and Denny Thompson were Grey Horse's marksmen.
Killinghall Arms 3 v 1 East End WMC
East End were unable to shake off the disappointment of having three points deducted and being ordered to replay their game against Post Boy for fielding a suspended player in this excellent encounter. Killie started brightly but were pushed back by a hard working East End who got their just rewards when David Roddy notched against his former club. Killie battled back but found East End a tough nut to crack before Phil Rennolds headed home a corner to put Killie level.
The midfield battle in which East End showed the advantage was resolved when a Michael Robson free kick was delivered into the penalty area and eluding everyone finished in the back of the net. Killie added a third when a great through ball from Robson found Rennolds who coolly notched his second. East End battled back but Killie keeper Richard Snowdon was in no mood to let anything past and he was instrumental in his side securing a well deserved three points.
Newton Aycliffe 7 v 0 DSRM SC Res.
Part time keeper Jason Wing took over the centre-forward duties in this lively encounter and ended up with four goals. Anthony Campbell, Lee Bonus and Gareth Boyes were also on target for Aycliffe.
Shuttle and Loom 1 v 2 Albion
Kevin Baines was the thorn in his former club's side as he put Albion ahead only for Chris Airey to level matters before half-time. However, Baines secured the points with his second immediately after the resumption.
