THE Under-9s played two games away to Brompton and drew the first 2-2. The Albion were leading with a minute to go when Brompton snatched a late equaliser.

Scorers were D Longstaff and R Lewis.

Game two was an 8-1 victory. The Albion played a great all round game of football, going 4-0 up at half time. The second half saw Brompton score but Albion continued to play excellent passing football scoring four more in the second half to win 8-1. Scorers were J Scarr (4), J Carr (3) and J Peart.

In the Durham County Cup, Albion Under-12s played away to Heburn and playing some excellent football came out 4-0 winners. Scorers were Chris Farlow (2), Jonathan Weeks and Martin Wilson.

The Under-13s played at Great Ayton, Albion winning 7-1 in a much improved all round team performance in front of new kit sponsor Stone Technical Services. Albion scorers were Dean Nimmo, Elvin Webley (5), Chris Binks. Man of the match was Luke Ward.

Last weekend saw Under-14s entertain Spraire in the first local derby in the league. Albion played some excellent football throughout, scoring six goals and conceding none in a very dominant display.

Richard Metcalfe scored his first hat-trick of the season, the other three goals coming from Shaun Russell, Sam Richardson and Lee McKie. Michael Martin was deservedly awarded man of the match for a positive display in midfield. The defensive line also deserve a mention for keeping Spraire from scoring.

This weekend saw a different outcome when Under-14s were beaten by a strong performace from Northallerton, who probed relentlessly to find the breaks through the Albion defence scoring six goals before half time. The second half saw Albion adjust to only concede one goal in a much-improved second half. Man of the match was Michael Martin.

Last weekend the Under-16s were at home to Northallerton. In a very close game Albion threw away the advantage with two silly defensive errors in front of goal, allowing Northallerton to score two easy goals from short range.

Daniel Woodford scored an excellent well worked goal to go in 2-1 down at half time. The second half saw a complete shut-down at both ends with only another well taken set piece goal from a corner kick taken by Northalleton adding to the score-line. Albion's man of the match was Matthew Hall for a stalwart performance in the centre of defence. The final score was 3-1 to Northallerton.

Darlington 21st Allstars

The Allstars would like to pay tribute to Mark Cossins from the Under-13s. Mark has played for the Allstars for five years as centre back and given some brave performances. Mark is moving out of the area, but his squad and club would like to wish him every success for the future.

The Under-11s were away to Washington Dunlop Tyres in this tremendous Durham Cup-tie. The Allstars again gave a fantastic all-round team performance with a special mention to the defence who worked hard against this physically stronger side. This 3-1 victory was well deserved and a mention goes to Jack Johns for taking on four opponents before scoring an outstanding goal. Scorers were Lee Gibbon (2) including one penalty and Jack Johns. Man of the match was Matthew Carnelley.

The Under-13 Colts took on Linthorpe Falcons in this entertaining league game. The Allstars gave an excellent team performance with each squad member contributing to this fine 5-1 victory. This week the score line did reflect the performance.

Scorers were Kiel Mellor, Tom Watson, Chris Turnbull and Jack Ridley (2). Man of the match was Craig Hancock.

The Under-12 Colts were away to Washington Juniors in this exciting Durham Cup-tie. The first half ended with Washington leading 1-0, but the Allstars kept working hard and the second half ended 3-3. In extra time Anthony Hawes scored a brilliant golden goal with Allstars deserving this 4-3 victory. Scorers were Benn Murphy, Adam MacDonald and own goal. Man of the match was Sam Jones.

The Under-12s were hosts to Sunderland Grindon in the County Cup, where some outstanding football was played. Allstars pulled off a well-organised battling performance and deserved the 2-0 victory. Scorers were Daniel Groves, Ross Kelly while man of the match Wayne Hall.

The Under-10 Colts visited Hartburn Juniors pulling off a fine 4-0 victory. Allstars were well-organised and displayed a good team spirit.

Scorers were Ryan Able (2), Thomas Airey and Phillip Park while man of the match was Jordan Hanratty.

In the friendly the teams drew 1-1 (an own goal scored by Hartburn) with man of the match Jack Shields.

The Under-9s travelled to Cumby Rovers and played some outstanding football. Allstars controlled the game, well-timed passes kept the game flowing for Allstars and they deserved the victory winning 2-0.

Scorers were Bradley Simpson (2) and man of the match was Bradley Simpson.

In the friendly, the Allstars continued their winning performance with the final score being 7-0. Scorers were Adam Jackson (2), Liam Jarvie, Liam Riley, Andrew Wilson, Steven Husband, William Whittaker and man of the match was Adam Jackson.

The Under-15s were away to North Tees Jnrs in the league. The Allstars were well organised and played some fantastic attacking football. After a well-spirited performance, the Allstars won the match 3-2. Scorers were Billy Johns, Liam Francis and Stevie Richards with Marc Greggs man of the match.

The Under-14s played an evenly matched league game against Nunthorpe Athletic with the first half ending 0-0. The second half saw Nunthorpe sneak a goal and Allstars did not deserve the 1-0 defeat. Man of the match was Jonathon Dunn.

The Under-13s travelled to Nunthorpe Athletic and the game was evenly matched for the first 20 minutes but Nunthorpe scored two runaway goals ending the first half 3-1 up. In the second half Allstars could not contain this strong team but they did not deserve this 6-2 defeat. Scorers were Jamie Hind and Lee Mullis while man of the match was Ben Claxton.

The Under-10s took on Hartlepool Crest and were disappointed with the 2-0 defeat. The Allstars found it hard to settle into their normal game and Hartlepool took advantage scoring two goals. Man of the match was Cameron Denny.

In the friendly the Allstars lost 3-2 with Darren taking man of the match.

Although the Under-8s suffered a 13-0 defeat against Hartlepool Eldon Lions, they played well, starting to put together some good football. Hartlepool were the stronger team and the score line reflected this. Man of the match was Lewis Durham.

In the friendly the Allstars had a better game only losing 5-1. Jonathon Burn scored the goal and was awarded man of the match.

The Under-16s travelled to Seaton Carew and suffered a 6-1 defeat against this stronger side. The Allstars never gave up and battled through to the end. The day started with transport problems and special thanks go to Dave from Commcars who stepped in to provide the transport.

Scorers were Steve Howden and man of the match was Iain Braithwaite.

The Under-11 Colts were away to TIBS and were disappointed with a 5-3 defeat. The Allstars were not able to pull their game together and TIBS took advantage scoring five times. Scorers were Ryan Ford (3) who was also awarded the man of the match accolade.

The Under-17s were hosts to Darlington West End, suffering a disappointing 5-0 defeat. The Allstars never settled and Darlington West End took advantage. Man of the match was Adam Moses.
