Crook light welterweight professional boxer, Nigel Wright, lost his sixth professional fight in Glasgow on Saturday in an unfortunate way.
Wright's original opponent, Ronny Naylan, stepped down and he was matched with Scottish champion Kevin McIntyre who had won 16 of his 18 fights and weighed in eight pounds heavier than Wright.
In the first round Wright broke a bone in his left hand and later broke a bone in his right hand.
The fight was still a close affair with the referee scoring it McIntyre 58 points, Wright 56 points.
The decision was not popular and many at the ringside thought Wright had done enough to win.
Wright will now be out of action for four months, but still has hopes of becoming British light welterweight champion.
