RECRUITS are being sought to join the 150-strong voluntary ranger service on the North York Moors.
The rangers support the full-time team which covers the 554 square miles of national park.
They work mostly at weekend and bank holidays and help with tasks including helping and conservation work.
Head of park services, Richard Gunton, said: "Voluntary rangers have a vital role to play in looking after this national park."
Names need to be put forward before the end of November for a training programme starting in the New Year.
Anyone interested should contact Julie Holliday at the national park office in Helmsley on (01439) 770657.
