A WOMAN who turned to alternative therapy to cure her own health problems is now teaching the technique to others.
Pam Bracken, from Darlington, runs a business, teaching the Oriental holistic therapy kinesiology and treating patients with a variety of ailments. Next year, she will be teaching a foundation course in basic applied kinesiology at the Thistle Hotel, in Middlesbrough.
She said: "Six years ago I had health problems of my own which were successfully treated by kinesiology.
"This led to wanting to know more - and more importantly how and why.
"I decided to train as a practitioner, and treat other people with common problems such as allergies, migraines, back problems and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
"It is great to be giving something back."
The course starts on January 11 and successful students will receive a foundation certificate in basic applied kinesiology which will allow them to treat people for a fee.
